Q: I would like to check out your facility.
When may I come by to see it?
A: Visitors are welcome at Paws Here, 7 days a week from 6:30AM
to 6:30PM.
Q: Are you open on holidays?
A: Yes, We are open 365 days a year.
Q: How do I know my dog will be safe at Paws Here?
A: Every dog at Paws Here has been interviewed to ensure that
s/he is friendly towards
other dogs. Also, the dogs are constantly monitored.
Q: Will my dog adjust to doggy daycare/boarding? He's
never been away from home.
A: Some dogs require a little more adjusting than others.
In some cases, it helps the pet to only stay for a few hours
during it's first visit and build up to a whole day and then
boarding. Dogs are required to spend at least a half day before
boarding to become more comfortable, to get to know us and
for us to get to know them. Most shy dogs or dogs that haven't
been socialized enough usually benefit tremendously from daycare.
They become less shy, more socialized and have a great time!
Q: Does Paws Here ever give drugs to the dogs?
A: Paws Here never administers any medication other than what
is provided by the
pet's owner. We help over excited pets by giving them lots
of exercise and playing with them.
Q: How do I make reservations for daycare or boarding
for my dog who has never been there before?
A: You can call Paws Here and schedule an interview. (free
of charge). At the interview, the dogs shot records are reviewed
(rabies, distemper and kennel cough are required) and the
dogs temperament is tested to make sure he is friendly to
people and to other dogs. After the interview, your dog may
come for daycare at any time. We ask for 1 day of daycare
and for 3 days notice prior to boarding.
Q: Can I bring my own food?
A: You are required to bring your pets food. It's much better
for the pet to continue on their regular diet. For boarders,
you are also welcome to bring a special blanket or bed that
will make them feel comfortable.
Q: What if my dog acts aggressively toward another dog
while at Paws Here?
A: If the act is mild, the dog will be placed in a timeout
until s/he has calmed down. If the aggression causes harm
to another dog, you will be responsible for any veterinary
care for that dog and your dog will not be allowed back unless
the behavior has been modified through training.
Q: My dog went to training school but is still not trained.
Can you help him/her?
A: We offer several different training classes to meet your
needs; however, we cannot train your dog without your help.
An owner must be willing to commit to a minimum of 10 minutes
per day to be successful with training their dog.
